What did the Skyrim Gamer Say to the Skyward Sword Gamer?
?Any bottled fairies? Or brilliant dungeons? Or treasure chests that tell you how much a red rupee is worth EVERY TIME YOU OPEN ONE??
Mike: Any game is better with bottled fairies, but sadly no. There are some brilliant dungeons, littlered with traps and the sort of brain-twisting puzzles that make you wish you hadn't instituted a no-Gamefaqs rule when reviewing a title. I'd have to say the most Zelda . Between the PC and the Xbox 360 versions I'm up to about 60 hours myself, and there's plenty more to do. The thing is, the main quest—the one with the dragons—can be finished rather quickly, certainly under 10 hours. After that, you're free to explore to your heart's content, discovering everything the world has to offer. I really like the way you put it. The joy is indeed in the wander and accident. The core story has its moments, but your personal journey is the one that matters.
I might put my own journey on pause come Sunday, and explore the colorful candy-coated world of Hyrule for a bit.
Stephen: Was that a shot at Zelda have dragons?
Stephen: Of course! Dragon spirits, I believe they're called.
Mike: Do they drop down out of the sky at random intervals and interrupt anything else you were trying to do?
Stephen: No. Never. Do you guys have bomb plants? Bomb plants whose bombs you can put in your pocket?
Mike: No. Our plants just sit there, waiting to be made into potions. Though wait, I've found the correlation! You can collect bugs in Skyrim and make them into potions as well!
Stephen: Common ground! What about the sky?

The Mega Man Network » It's Mega Man vs Dr. Wily and X vs. Zero ...
, Word has come to us from X Master 1000 that GameFAQs is holding yet another of their video game character tournaments. This time, the theme is rivals, and features all manner of competitors, such as Link vs. Ganondorf and Ryu vs. Ken. But rather than pitting them against one-another, this tournament is instead about which rivalry itself is the best, meaning Luigi and Waluigi are, in essence, working together on this one.
And that brings us to the Mega Man portion of the tournament bracket. In fact, there are two, as Mega Man and Dr. Wily predictably square off in the “South Division,” and will soon be up against the pairing of Zidane and Kuja. Elsewhere, the upcoming “Northeast Division” final will be X vs. Zero against Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion.
Quite frankly, we don’t like their odds, given that we imagine most people who would vote and get the series some much-needed attention won’t even consider the two rivals, and just let it lie. Plus, Mortal Kombat I think my bracket has Mega Man vs Dr. Wily winning it. Not really rivals, but archenemies or something. I dunno, but how much they clash has gotta mean something. This tournament is a total joke though. People don’t even care about the strength or depth of the so-called rivalries, they just choose their favorite characters. I mean, Crono vs Lavos? Rivals?? Just another excuse to get more Chrono Trigger characters in, because it’s popular. It totally destroyed the entire purpose and theme of the contest! I visit GameFAQs regularly, but thanks for bringing this up LBD. X and Zero are rivals in the truest sense of the word. They’re friends first and foremost, they help each other out all the time, but there’s a silent and sometimes not-so-silent competitiveness between them to see who’s the better hunter. After Zero brought X to realize his true potential in X1, the two were neck and neck, perhaps not actually knowing they were competing until things came to a head in X5 (although plenty of hints were certainly dropped about X and Zero being destined to clash).
