The Black Bears swept the relay events as the 200 freestyle relay team set a pool record at Forbush Natatorium. The team of Naja Harvey, Jenn Trodden, Lauren Dwyer and Emily Buczkowski of Woolwich set the record with a final time of 1:39.00. Maine’s 400 medley relay team, made up of Buczkowski, Harvey, Erica Smrcina and Trodden also won their event with a time of 4:02.20. In the boys game, the West Seniors defeated the East Seniors 7-3. On the West squad Nick Shaw of MDI had two goals, while Blake Hart of Mt. Blue, Steven Osgood of Vinalhaven, Robbie Lentine of Windham, Kevin Lubelczyk of Gorham and Tim Lavallee of Cape Elizabeth each scored a goal. Assists were notched by Brandon Tuttle of Falmouth with two. In the girls game, the East Seniors defeated the West Seniors 5-3. Goal scorers for the East squad were Jaclyn Masters of Edward Little, who tallied two, and Cassandra Murano of Brunswick, Chelsea Kuzio of Hampden Academy and Jillian Diaferio of Southern Aroostook, each notching one a piece. Ashley Robinson of Bangor assisted on one of the East’s goals. A fumble recovery by Ryan Scioli ended Woodstock’s first scoring chances. Bath couldn’t convert on offense and was forced to punt. A heads-up play by Tyquan Ekejiuba on the punt had Hyde back in possession deep in the Wolfpack territory. Bath capitalized on the next play as Bemnet Banks ran for a TD and Jack Peters converted for 2 points and Bath was up 8-0. The Co-Player of the Year in the NESCAC, Hanczor helped the Polar Bears post a school-record 27 wins, a first-place finish in the conference standings, the program’s first-ever conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance. Among the NESCAC leaders in multiple statistical categories, Hanczor, who played in every set for Bowdoin, finished with a .332 hitting percentage (first NESCAC), 2.94 kills per set (ninth), and 1.02 blocks per set (second) — all of which are career-best figures.Action Sports Gr Michigan - News

Michigan Football Notes: Demar Dorsey
Back in the recruiting picture is 5-Star cornerback Demar Dorsey. It’s a long shot at best, but the former Michigan commit is trying to turn his life around on two fronts. A speedster from Fort Lauderdale, Dorcey signed a letter of intent in February 2010. Michigan never disclosed its reasons, but Dorsey wasn’t admitted to the university. A native of Michigan, lived in Colorado while writing her first story. She attended Grand Rapids Community College, the University of Iowa and attended Colorado Technical University in Denver, Colorado. Although she did not consider herself a writer, she penned a story to bring attention to issues of women abused.
